Social Media Management
I'm passionate about Jackson Hole, and I'm so excited about how Social Media has impacted our world and our town! I've spent the past six months training intensively in the most relevant platforms.
In a one-year period from November 2010 to November 2011, there were 153,062 mentions of Jackson Hole in social media. Of the 870 businesses in Jackson Hole, 62% have some Social Media presence. While many businesses have profiles on the key platforms (Facebook, Twitter, Youtube and Linkedin), most are not managed or monitored.
With the exceptions of major local brands like Jackson Hole Mountain Resort and The Four Seasons, most Jackson Hole businesses are not focused on engaging destination visitors through Social Media. Yet destination visitors are posting and tweeting about Jackson Hole in droves. The significant amount of posts represent the aspirational nature of Jackson Hole, both during trip planning and the actual visit. In fact, 72 percent of all social network users access their social network sites daily while they are traveling. (Thanks to Cactus Marketing for these stats).
The Jackson Hole Chamber of Commerce recently initiated a Social Media strategy for Jackson Hole. Our businesses know they need to be involved in Social Media strategies, including blogging, posting, tweeting, and promotions. Along with hours of online training workshops and webinars to keep up to date on the latest trends, I've attended five local workshops on Social Media in the past year, and it's clear to me that these businesses need help!
I'm the perfect person for the job. I'll meet with my business clients weekly to brainstorm and schedule the week's posts, images, youtube videos, and more. I've spent months training, researching and learning the proper way to use Social Media for our Jackson Hole businesses.
